Meet the New Icon! Thanks for Voting.

The other day, I sent an email out to everyone asking for help with a decision I was struggling with.

When I started working on LeafOut, I went with this icon:

While I really like this icon, it just seemed to be missing something. Mainly, I felt like I wanted there to be some kind of visual element tying back to ‘leaf.’

So we went back to the drawing board.

You know when you can see something really well in your head and it looks amazing, but then it just doesn’t turn out the way you thought it would?

That’s kind of what happened when trying to add a leafy element to the icon.

I just personally wasn’t feeling it as much as I thought I would, so I decided to ask everyone who has signed up to get email updates.

I was leaning to staying with the first icon from above, but…

It’s amazing the clarity fresh eyes have!

When the results started rolling in, I had to double check them.

90% of the votes were agreed… we needed a new icon!

Without further ado, meet our new, community selected icon!

And that’s why it’s so important for us to work together

I spend hours and hours of each day thinking about LeafOut. And sometimes, that actually blinds me of something the rest of you so obviously see at first glance!

This is why I’m so dedicated to sharing my progress with you.

Sometimes I just need fresh eyes and clear thoughts to help me make the best decisions. I really appreciate your willingness to communicate back with me an offer your feedback!
